Say goodbye to bacteria: Tips for washing your Nalgene water bottle

Let’s face it; maintaining a clean water bottle is crucial for your health. Bacteria love to thrive in damp places, and your Nalgene water bottle is not an exception. Luckily, washing your Nalgene water bottle is a piece of cake. Here are some handy tips to get you started:

Prepare the Cleaning Essentials

Before diving into the process, gather all the necessary cleaning essentials. You’ll need:

  • Warm water
  • Mild Dish Soap
  • A Bottle brush or Sponge

Start with a Pre-rinse

Remove the cap and give your bottle a good pre-rinse with warm water. This step helps to loosen and eliminate any loose debris inside the bottle.

Soap it up

Add a few drops of mild dish soap to your brush or sponge, then scrub the interior of the bottle, paying extra attention to the bottom and the cap. Remember, germs love hiding in corners!

Rinse and Dry

Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Ensure all soap residue is gone. Once done, air-dry your bottle upside down in a well-ventilated area. Always make sure your bottle is completely dry before storage to prevent bacteria growth.

Tip: For a deep clean, soak your Nalgene water bottle in a solution of water and baking soda or vinegar for 15 minutes, then scrub and rinse as usual.

With these easy steps, you’re all set to say goodbye to bacteria and hello to a clean, fresh Nalgene water bottle. Remember, a clean water bottle means a healthier you!
